(Normally this would be at the end of the post, but since this is the first Auction, I'll put the info here)
How Auctions Work???
Go to this Form LINK HERE, and spend your hard earned money on buildings for the Kingdom!
Only the TWO HIGHEST FUNDED BUILDINGS will actually be built.
Each building corresponds to a player's territory, and will give them said bonuses/detriments if it is built!
For any building that you put money on that doesn't get built, half of what you spent will come back to you rounded down. (paperwork is expensive what can I say?)
HERE is a link to the current Auction Standings. After a...determinate amount of time that I'll add here, auctions will close.
If you want to talk about the auction, feel free to do so on discord or in your private chats, just so this thread doesn't get cluttered.
This is half an RP post (so y'all can have fun dealing with the ramifications of your actions) and half a vote results page. Whatever you do here may in fact change how much you'll pay in taxes next season. So have fun! Try and deal with what happens. These are purely optional.
Prismed Rim - Petrardian Navy blockades Strait of Mystery
Solution Voted for:
C) Have the Kingdom cover the costs on behalf of Ratsworth.
( -1000 Treasury / -1 Stability / +1 Trade )
After a quickly drafted up contract and a hasty withdrawal from the Royal Vault, a ship carrying what essentially was a bribe for the Petrardians to go away. A few chosen members of the Prismed Rim alliance (including Royal Rat Ratsworth IV himself and any nobles that choose to attend) elected to sail alongside the ship as a military escort. Should things go south, they were given orders to scuttle the Prize Ship and retreat back to the Capitol.
We join the S.S. Rattington, sailing alongside the Prize Ship H.M.S. Guilty where they meet a representative of the Petrardian Artistocracy, a moneylender by the name of Windibank. A temperamental fellow with an inferiority complex, Windibank would rather die than leave without the promised gold.
Well the moneylender turned out to be scamming Ratsburgh out of far more than what they owed. After exposing this fradulent deal, Petrard promised to leave Ratsburgh alone from now on.
Provincia Smaragdina - Monstrous Mayhem in Monstrome!
Solution Voted for:
A) Increase the amount of armed guards in local settlements near the Paralycrsi hunting grounds.
( -1 Military / +1 Farming / -1 Trade / +1 Authority / -1 Defiance )
A regiment of elite monster-hunting soldiers stationed themselves across the forests and farmlands of Monstrome, protecting local farmers from the Paralycrsi menace. While a few arachnophobic soldiers deserted, they were primarily an effective force. Without the easy pickings of domesticated cattle, the Paralycrsi retreated back into the forest and back into obscurity, feeding on small woodland critters in the safety of their territory.
Unfortunately, many Monstrome citizens consider themselves of the "Monster" persuasion, and don't take kindly to monster hunters. They elect to lock themselves in their homes and scheme about how to bring about the downfall of monster hunter kind. But after a cease and desist letter from some land called "Capcom", the monster hunters dropped the branding, and everyone was happy. For now at least.
United States of Azulongmon - The Dread Pirate Enoshima is on the loose!
Solution Voted for:
C) Create a blockade around the Union, inspecting every vessel that leaves or enters.
( +1 Farming / - 1 Trade / -1 Stability / +1 Defiance )
The blockade begins in earnest shortly after the first Spring Harvest, which does hamper trade somewhat. While most peasants are stuck at home, as trade in and out of the Union of the Holy See has been heavily slowed down, many find time they would have spent traveling better used to prepare for a swiftly approaching Summer. But what about the Dread Pirate Enoshima I hear you cry? Well to answer that question we must first head to the Union's main port, where Prince Casimir is personally assisting in inspecting ships coming in and out of port. It's rather exhausting work, as each ship's crew seems to be more annoyed than the last, and the prince finds his normally sharp tongue dulled by the barrage of insults thrown his way.
We find the Prince and any Nobles who wish to assist him at the end of the Port, getting through the last few vessels of the day. This next one is sails the flag of the Isle of Kalas, and is proving particularly troublesome due to their belligerent nature.
As it turns out, the Kalasian ship was but a disguise for a fleet of the Dread Pirate's finest Sloops, attempting to circumnavigate the blockade and hide in the confusion. With the quick thinking of the Prince and his compatriots, the pirates were captured, but it was all a double ruse! The Dread Pirate has escaped today, but will be back again sometime soon. Probably.
Capital - Berserk Officers
Solution Voted for:
D) Fire those who have been afflicted, hiring new soldiers in their place.
( - 1000 Treasury / +1 Authority / +1 Trade in each region / +1 Defiance in each region)
While the firing/hiring process did take some time (and the recently fired troops went back to their homelands and caused small bouts of unrest there), the King's iron-fisted approach to disorder strengthened his image in the public eye. The Kingdom was undoubtedly safer now that these vile miscreants were far away from the hustle and bustle of the capitol. A few of the afflicted soldiers claim that they had no knowledge of being rowdy, and that they've been in a fog throughout the last couple of weeks. Perhaps they just drank too much? Ah well, alls well that ends well.
Got some errands to run but I'll update this spot periodically. You won't be able to change the stats that are being raised or lowered.
